About the role

To drive our global reach our partners are opening a London office for marketing and technology operations and require a skilled all-rounder to help establish and drive the business forward.

Reporting to the UK MD, you’ll take accountability for the commercial oversight and financial controls of the business, help set strategy and support a range of activities that ensure the smooth running of the office, giving everyone in the business the most productive, innovative and engaging workplace possible.

To succeed in this role, you will have all-round business experience, a high attention to detail and be prepared to get hands on in the short term.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Company budget planning, tracking and reporting

  • Work with leadership to set and drive the business strategy

  • Prepare and deliver monthly performance and management reports

  • Oversight of invoice management, payroll, expense management and budgetary control

    (BPO supported)

  • Issuing contracts to new Customers/Suppliers following vetting checks (BPO supported)

  • Oversight of regulatory and legal obligations and processes

  • Facilities management (serviced office)

  • HR policy and procedure (BPO supported)

  • People engagement and moral. Organise, execute, and assist with team activities (staff

    meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, off-sites, and team social events)

  • New employee recruitment and onboarding

  • (including issuing equipment and organising induction sessions)

  • Performance management

About you

  1. 5-10 years in an EA, legal, accounting, HR or office management role

  2. Previous role at a scale-up tech or financial company. Not required but preferred.

  3. Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures

  4. Experience with setting and managing budgets, invoicing and supplier management

  5. Positive, pragmatic and proactive

  6. Superb organisation and prioritisation skills

  7. Demonstrate ability to handle confidential material and conversations with the utmost discretion

  8. Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities and complete deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment

  9. Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills

  10. Bachelor’s degree in BA or related field. Master or MBA is a bonus
